"The second tape had a tumbling, roaring sound for quite a while, and then suddenly, no doubt about it, the distinct bright vocal and the massive guitar sound of Fernsehen. I had only heard stories of this Fernsehen... Some of the tapes were just noisy piano or drums, but among them were some good takes of maybe 20 different songs. Without realizing that this would eventually lead me to meet the artist, I converted the best takes, mastered them and replicated them into vinyl...”
